Moratuwa Basketball Club entered the semi finals of the 50th Fr. Webber tournament now taking place in Batticaloa.
Moratuwa BC beat Police 67-62 and overcame Lucky BC 75-59.
In other matches Old Bens beat Magis Negombo 72-66, Air Force beat Lucky BC 64-54 while Michaelmen beat St. Micheal’s College 83-79.
Moratuwa BC has a history of over 50 years in basketball. They are captained by Sanitha de Mel.
Most of their players are products of St. Sebastian’s College in Moratuwa.
