India keep England at bay

NOTTINGHAM: India were 189 for three after losing the toss at tea on the first day of the third Test against England at Trent Bridge on Saturday.

Virat Kohli, the India captain, was 51 not out and Ajinkya Rahane 53 not out, with their partnership worth 107 runs after they had come together with the tourists in trouble at 82 for three.

Chris Woakes, who in the first session took all the wickets to fall so far, had tea figures of three for 45 in 15 overs. England lead this five-match series 2-0.
