Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo, will be presenting a Hindustani violin recital by G.V.A Chamindira Nawanjali Silva at SVCC(ICC) auditorium 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7, on July 18, at 6 p.m.
Chamindira Nawanjali completed her initial training in violin Sangeet Visharad under Guru Anil Mihiripenne at the Sharadha Institute. She has completed her Degree in Sangeet Nipun in 2015 at the Nuwan Sri Megha Satharasinghe Indian Music Academy, Sri Lanka. Currently Chamindra is reading for her final year BA music, Hindustani violin at Indira Kala Sangit Vishwa Vidyalaya, Khairagarh, India, availing a scholarship from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Govt. of India.
