Virtusa and HSBC advanced to the D division men’s final when they defeated MAS B and DPMC in the semi finals of the 12th MSBA Ram Rathnavel Memorial Knockout Basketball Tournament worked off at the Henry Pedris court yesterday.
In the first semi final Virtusa overcame MAS B by 47 to 42 points in extra time after the match ended 42-42 at full time. Dilka Sirimanne (Virtusa) was the best player of the match.
HSBC defeated DPMC in the second semi final at same venue by 51 to 45 points with Promoth Weerasinghe (HSBC) adjudged player of the game.
