President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday hinted that the cabinet reshuffle will take place on May 1, coinciding with International Workers Day. Speaking at a religious ceremony in Dambulla on Friday the President said a new Minister of Buddha Sasana will likely be appointed at the dawn of May 1 indicating that the latest cabinet reshuffle will take place on the day.
An authoritative source from the United National Party confirmed the report claiming that May 1 has been communicated to the party as the date set for the reshuffle.
