One of the well-known tea service companies in Sri Lanka, Russel’s, completed 30 years in commercial business last month.
The company which was set up in 1988 under the Chairmanship of Russel Perera started its initial operations with Seylan Bank and has now diversified to tea, catering and fashion and design under the brand name SF Clothing.
The Russel’s group of companies is based in a three-storied building at Punchi Borella, own by them, and total operations under one roof, is managed by , the Group General Manager Lindsay Fernando. Russel’s two sons, Jehan and Rashane manage the tea service and tea and fashion design independently.
The group comprises 220 staff members and most of them have been with the company for over 20 years.
