Lions Clubs welcome prospective Lion Ladies

The International Association of Lions Clubs has completed 100 years and is moving forward as the world’s largest service organisation with a membership closer to 1.5 m in 210 countries. Sri Lankan women too are very actively involved in the Lions Movement, as Lion Ladies.

Very active programs by the Lion Ladies have been recognised in the Lions District 306 B1, through the 87 Lions Clubs from Colombo to Jaffna. With blessings from the District Governor Lion Camilus Fernando PMJF MAF, Patron Lion Padmini Fernando, the patron and Lion Romali Abesekara as President of the Lion Ladies Committee, have organised large number of important service projects including the donation of medical equipment to the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital and the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo.
