The government was committed to introducing of Information Technology into the court system
and is presently looking for a medium term transformation, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe said at the Induction ceremony of the BASL President U.R.De Silva yesterday.
Acknowledging the necessity of this transformation and the digitizing of court records, a proposal by the Court of Appeal President Justice Padman Surasena at the event, the Prime Minister said he
would personally take up the matter with the Justice Minister shortly, at least to start from the apex court such as the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal and then to the lower courts.
