The SLC Premier League Inter-Club cricket match beween NCC and Ports Authority CC at FTZ grounds Katunayake was poised for a close finish today.
By stumps on the second day Ports Authority requiring 220 for victory were 129-2. NCC did well to dismiss Ports Authority for 121 in the first innings and gain a lead of 99. But however in their second innings NCC succumbed to the left-arm spin of Chanaka Komasaru who took 7 for 49 to be bowled out for 120. Komasaru finished with a match bag of ten wickets.
Former Panadura SC captain Chamara Silva scored his second century of the season for Moors SC in their match against Ragama CC making 121 off 135 balls with 17 fours and two sixes. made second ton in this season on yesterday. Matches will be held on day three today.
