The wild animal population is rapidly increasing throughout the country and are destroying paddy, Chena and home-garden cultivations.
They also pose a serious threat to residents of the area disrupting their daily activities. According to residents monkeys, giant squirrels, apes, wild boars, porcupines and peacocks cause damage to roofs and grab the belongings of people.
Monkeys, apes and giant squirrels drink water of young coconuts and destroy cultivations . The matter has been brought to the notice of the authorities but to no avail.
