Wesley crowned lions touch rugby in Doha

Old Wesleyites won their fifth consecutive Lions Sri Lanka Schools Touch Sevens title played recently at Doha Rugby Football Centre. Wesley beat St. Sylvesters 3-1 in the final, helped by two tries from Lahiru Prasad one in each half. Sajith Ariyawansha scored the second try while Sashi Kanth crossed over for the St. Sylvestrians.

Wesley has now won the Lions Touch tournament on five occasions, a feat once thought of as impossible.

The marathon Touch festivities were played over 10 hours, with 16 teams, across 41 matches and a whopping 600 strong crowd in attendance.
