Turkey is a land laden with a rich culinary heritage. Turkish cuisine is not something one can normally savour in Colombo. However in the week gone by the Graze Kitchen at the Colombo Hilton was dazzling guests with a succulent array of Turkish food expertly prepared by two guest chefs from Hilton Istanbul; Chef Ali Demir and Chef Ender Arslan, flown in by courtesy of Turkish Airlines. Dishes adhering to traditional recipes dishes on the menu were Pastrima, Cerkez Tavugu, Kofte, Mantisi, Pilavi, a special lamb and fish carving station, cheese corner and much more.
This magnificent culinary spread is in addition to the existing Thai, Chinese, Japanese and western specialties available at Graze Kitchen during dinner. Executive Chef of Hilton Colombo Kazi Hassan said “We always try to give our guests cuisine from different regions of the world”.The authentic Lamb Pide and Aegean Pide from Chef Ali’s signature Pide selection were very inspiring with intense taste. A selection of sweet sensations supplemented the main dishes. The best way to conclude your indulgence is to sip a Turkish coffee and engage in joyful conversation.
