Minister of Education and Kurunegala District UNP MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said, Friday, 3, that his Ministry has called for applications from those who have passed the G.C.E.(A.L.) Examination -2015 to be recruited as teacher trainees at National Colleges of Education, countrywide. The closing date for applying for these teacher training courses is November 24.
Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Sunil Hettiarachchi when contacted said, all details and specimen application form for these courses are now advertised in the Government Gazette dated 2.11.2017. About 6,000 teacher trainees would be enrolled to follow this three- year residential teacher trainee Diploma course scheduled to commence next year, 2018.
