Spice and curry for authentic dishes

29 October, 2017

A new restaurant featuring authentic Sri Lankan cuisine - Spice and Curry’ was launched by entrepreneur Manju Liyanaarachchi in Poorwarama Road, Nugegoda last week. Manju’s aim is to go with the current trend of ‘health food’ concept and offer their customers a well-balanced diet with greens and lentils – combined with local vegetables, fish and meat. This brings a variety of choices for both, the vegetarian and non-vegetarian customer.

“Our concept is to offer a healthy food plate at a reasonable price and our prices range from Rs. 50 to Rs. 600. We are concerned about the consumer power to spend,” he says.

“Although our focus is on Sri Lankan cuisine, we also have the ability to take orders for authentic Chinese food.”

Spice and Curry also offers ‘drive-thru’ facility to busy customers, those who want to quickly pick up their food packs at any time. “All you need to do is, call us on our hotline to place the order. The packs will be ready for collection at our counter,” says Manju.

Manju has also taken the initiative to build a structure that is appealing to the customer with a lot of parking as well.
