The need for a bridge

The foot bridge across the Nilwala Ganga at Weliwa, Morawake has been badly damaged in the recent floods. Villagers have placed arecanut trunks across the river, as a temporary measure. Residents are seen here walking over the precarious trunks to reach the other side of the river.
