
Sri Lanka’s new Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana will visit India shortly where he is expected to meet the Indian Leader Narendra Modi and hold bilateral discussions with his Indian counterpart, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maheshini Kolonne said.
Minister Marapana met the Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on the sidelines of the Indian Ocean Conference in Colombo where he was invited to undertake a visit to India to hold a comprehensive round of bilateral discussions. During the meeting that lasted for 30 minutes, at Hotel Taj Samudra where the conference was also held, she appreciated the role played by Sri Lanka as the host of Indian Ocean Conference. - MF
