Sixteen-year-old M.G.G. Deshaja Dewmith of C 02/G 01, Himbutu Uyana Housing Scheme, Mulleriyawa has been diagnosed with Dural Arterio Venous Fistula. The surgical procedure for endovascular management to prevent life threatening haemorrhage will be performed by Consultant Interventional Radiologists Dr. Nihal Wijewardena and Dr. (Mrs.) Lakmalie Paranahewa at the Asiri Central Hospital, Colombo, barring unforeseen complications is estimated to cost approximately Rs. 3,000,000, inclusive of hospital fees, equipment charges and professional fees.
