The Soccer Tournament organized by Excel English College, Beruwala was conducted for under 16 soccerites of Kalutara District was won by Beruwala FC on a penalty shootout. Beruwala FC played against Maradana FC in the final which ended in a nil all draw. In the penalty shootout that was decided by the referee Beruwala FC outplayed their opponents 3 goals to one.
The well organized tournament attracted 22 teams for the district. All matches were played at the I.L.M. Shamsudeen ground. The proposal for the tournament was made by the Principal of Excel English College, Ishan Makan with the aim of promoting the game among youngsters in the Kalutara Distrisct.
The chief guest for tournament was Secretary of the Bereuwala FL,M.S.M.Shinan and the Guest of honour was M.S.M. Rizwan, Presedent, Super Sun SC.
