Katina Cheewara Pooja organised by the Shanthi Buddhabhumi Wandana Sanvidanaya of Ethul Kotte will be held on October 28 and 29 in Thailand, to mark the 264th year of Thai prelate Most Ven. Upali Maha Thera introducing higher ordination to Sri Lanka.
The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Ven. Dr. Avissawelle Dhammananda Thera, domiciled in Thailand.
Ven. Dodampahala Rahula Thera, Ven. Padalangala Dhammadeva Thera, Prof. J.B. Disanayake, together with others are scheduled to participate.
