God has created a beautiful environment for us to live in. But mankind is the cause for pollution and destruction of the environment. The Meethotumulla garbage mountain is a similar case. The garbage mountain was made up of garbage in Colombo. The people who lived next to the garbage mountain weren’t aware of this before. The government should have recycled the garbage. We have to take advice from developed countries about recycling. As small children we should know to put garbage in the trash can where it should be. We must keep our country and environment clean.
