Desert Animals

Few plants grow in deserts. But a desert is not empty. Many animals live in deserts. These animals have different ways of living in the desert. In hot deserts, some animals stay underground during the day and come out only at night. Most desert animals can go for days without water. Some animals get most of their water from seeds they eat. One such desert animal is the Kangaroo rat.
