The Annual Aluth Sahal Mangallaya organized by the Agriculture Ministry with the Agrarian Services Department was held yesterday at the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises in Anuradhapura with the participation of President Maitripla Sirisena as the chief guest. Farmers offered part of the their fresh harvest to Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi to seek the blessings for their future cultivation. Members of the Maha Sangha led by Atamasthanadhipathi Ven. Pallegama Sirinvasa Nayake Thera, and Chief incumbent of Ruvanweli Maha Seya Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana and Ministers Duminda Dissanayake, Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Tissa Karaliyadda government officials and the farmer community were also present.
