Specially for Clapton fans

12 March, 2017

What’s your favourite song you make it a point to sing while you shower? Is it Wonderful Tonight, I Shot The Sheriff, or perhaps, Lay Down Sally?

If you are an Eric Clapton fan then make your tracks to the Stables, Park Street Mews and soak in the vibes of Classic Clapton – Eric Clapton’s Tribute Band when they perform on Saturday March 18 at 7.30.

The band is led by Mike Hall – vocals/guitar, Derek Wilson – keyboards & vocals, Danny Davison – drums, and Dave Robson – bass guitar & vocals. The group has to date released three albums, The Music of Eric Clapton’, ‘Classic Clapton Unplugged’ and ‘Classic Cream’.

Classic Clapton – Eric Clapton’s Tribute Band was formed in 1985 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Their ability to reproduce Clapton’s stage performances which were termed ‘electrifying’ were a success for the Tribute Band, so much so that they were invited to perform at Eric Clapton’s Fan Club Convention and appeared on TV programs. Their success didn’t end there. The Tribute Band has toured UK and Europe, performed at concerts in Spain, Estonia, Holland and France. In the UK they were honoured to perform at the Royal Festival Hall, London. Last year, The Tribute band had successful concerts in India after their first appearance in Mumbai in 2009. And now in March 2017 Classic Clapton – Eric Clapton’s Tribute Band will be seen in action on Saturday March 18. Be a part of the exciting sounds.
