Newly promoted Zahira College Colombo commenced their Singer Schools rugby league with a stunning 19 points (1 goal, 4 penalties) to 13 (2 tries, 1 penalty) win over fancied Science College Mt Lavinia in their match played at Ratmalana yesterday.
At half time Zahira led 13-8.
Yuzraan Lantra scored the solitary try for Zahira which was converted by Zahid Sinhawansa who also put over four penalties.
For Science Sanjula Rohan and Imash Priyadarshana scored the tries. Vibuda Sahan put over the penalty.
