Two people were killed on Friday night when a concrete-mixer truck crashed head-on with a Dimo Batta Mini truck near the Kaduwela Fuel Station on the Colombo-Kaduwela Road. The driver and a passenger of the mini truck, 23-year-old Bope Gamage Supun Srinath resident of Padukka, and 31-year-old Dahas Kankanamalage Sudesh Maduranga, a resident of Kaduwela were admitted to the National Hospital with serious injuries. The duo later succumbed to their injuries. Nawagamuwa Police have arrested the driver of the Concrete-Mixer Truck and are carrying out further investigations. (MB)
