ABANS held its Christmas Carol Competition on December 10 at Abans Elite Welisara. Provides customers the opportunity to showcase their musical talent and win prizes.
Over 250 people participated in the competition with a qualified panel of three people, Fr. Rajan Priyadarshana from Basicilia Church, Vishara Prasad Kumarathunga from Viskha Vidyalaya, and Mrs. Perly Visidagama judging the proceedings of the event.
Five teams were provided with prize money from ABANS for their musical achievements.
St. Mary’s Church Nayakakanada was adjudged the winner of the competition for their creative take on popular Christmas carols, while the 2nd place prize was awarded to St. Peter’s and Paul’s church Ragama. The 3rd place prize was awarded to St. Sebastian Church, Enderamulla. Lastly, the 4th and 5th place was awarded to St. Sebastian Shrine, Kandana, and Mount Carmel Church, Hendala respectively.
