Would you like to know about how a young boy overcomes a bully?

The novel Don't Sit on My Lunch! by Abbey Klein tells us about how Freddie Thresher who is bullied by his classmate Max Sellars overcomes the bullying.

The novel begins with a description of a school cafeteria where Max knocks down Freddie's lunch. Max also bullies and taunts his other classmates Jessie, Chloe and Robbie. Freddie wants to join the school hockey team, but there is only one place available and Max also wants that place. Max is an aggressive, nasty, malicious and vicious person who stoops down to the lowest level to get what he wants. The novel teaches the reader a life lesson about how to overcome a bully by ignoring, avoiding and also reporting them. The book is a result of the author's personal experience of being bullied. The author says, “Bullies can be very cruel, and they make you feel scared and afraid to tell anyone about what they are doing. Bullies pick on people they think won't speak up or tell on them. So speak up for yourself and your friends and put bullies in their place.”
