Sigiriya

11 December, 2016

Sigiriya is a rock fortress that was built by King Kasyapa, to protect himself from his brother Mugalan. Sigiriya is located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The palace is at the top of the rock. There are colourful frescoes on the wall, and there is graffiti too. There are water gardens, landscaped gardens and mirror walls in Sigiriya. There are fountains too. This ancient monument is a UNESCO world heritage site. So it is our duty to protect Sigiriya.
