The Vihara Mawatha Ekamuthu Youth Society of Kothalawela, Kaduwela will conduct the Open Standard Cycle Race for the fifth successive year, commencing from Vihara Mawatha, Kothalawela on December 10.
The race will start at 8.00 a.m. from Vihara Mawatha Junction and proceed along Pittugala, Malabe, Arangala, Athurugiriya, Panagoda, Leyland Junction, Embulgama Junction, Ranala, Nawagamuwa, Welle Junction and return to Vihara Mawatha Junction. The race will consist of four laps and cover a distance of 124 km. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, while the second ,and third place winners will receive cash prizes of Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. A musical show with ‘Sun Flower’ in attendance will be the grand finale. The event is coordinated by Prasad 077-3496048 and Lalith 077-3951577.
