Indian Cultural Centre will hold a lecture demonstration on changing trends in Bharata Natyam by Subashini Pathmanathan, eminent scholar and danseuse on 18 November at 6.00 p.m. at its auditorium at Indian Cultural Centre, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7.
Subashini Pathmanathan graduated from the Government College for Women in Chandigarh, India and received her Master’s degree from the Punjab University. She started her Bharata Natyam journey at the age of two and half, and studied Bharata Natyam under the great maestro the late Padmashree Vazhuvoor Ramiahpillai at Vazhuvoorar classical Bharata Natya Centre, Mylapore, and Chennai.
