On October 27, 2016, the Primary Section of Thurstan College, Colombo 7 performed at Kakulusara, a concert organized to unveil the talent of children from Grades One to Six. The show was held at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
The Chief Guest at the event was Srilal Nonis, the Zonal Director of Education in the Western Province, while Ravi Bandu Vidyapathi the renowned artiste and drummer was the Guest of Honour.
