Thihana de Saram and Riya Pathirana, two students of Noeline Fernando, better known as Aunty Noeline among her students, will display their work at Sapumal Foundation, 32/4, Barnes Place, Colombo 7 on October 29 and 30 from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on both days.
Noeline Fernando, an artist who hails from the court of Melbourne Art Classes of Mrs. Cora Abraham fame has been conducting her art classes for children at the Sapumal Foundation over many years and is well patronized by parents, who wants their children to learn discipline through the medium of art during their growing years – Thihana and Riya are two good examples of how discipline can be be instilled in children, leading them to approach their growing years with a composed attitude as young adults.
