The importance of trees

24 April, 2022

Trees are important for our survival as well as the eco system. Without trees, life would not be possible. Trees provide us with oxygen and food which are two of life’s most important needs. We use trees to obtain medicine, shelter and many other needs. We are greatly dependant on trees and we will be dependant on trees in the future as well.

Now, we have started to cut down a large number of trees to fulfill the extra needs of humans.

Forest and agricultural lands are used now to build tall buildings for companies.

Trees need to be protected as they play an important role in nature. Trees are important to animals as well. There are countless animals that live on trees. If trees are cut down, these animals have no where to live. So, they would disturb human life by entering the places where humans live or would become extinct. Trees are also important in preventing soil erosion and landslides. The roots of the trees hold soil firmly and do not let it get washed away.

Therefore, trees are an important part of human life, so, it is our duty to preserve such beautiful trees which are a gift from God. We must protect them and prevent them from being cut unnecessarily.
