Nadungamuwe Vijaya Raja is also known as Nadumgamuwe Raja. He was an Indian tusker which carried the casket of the Sacred Tooth Relic at the Dalada Maligawa’s Esala Perahera in Kandy. 
This tusker,carried the casket of the Tooth Relic very reespectfully. He was born in 1953. When he died he was 69 years old. This tusker had the longest tusks among Asian elephants. Nadungamuwe Raja collected much merit. People believe that he has been born in heaven.
