Her sweet smile will draw anyone to her. The smile reflects the joy of life that Sayuri Elwatta brings to whatever she does.
Nine-year-old Sayuri is in Grade 4 at Gateway College. Her favourite subjects are Science and Maths. She loves Science as she enjoys experiments and finds maths fun, something that very many children don’t do.
Living down Ekamuthu Mawatha, Thalawathugoda with parents Dr. Sisira Elwatta and Thushari, brother Brain and sister Keyali, Sayuri enjoys a closely knit and caring family.
She loves to cycle and has ideal cycling paths in and around her home. An avid reader Sayuri loves the Judy Moody series.
Fruits are what Sayuri enjoys eating and she obviously understands the value of a healthy diet.
As for the future? Sayuri aims for the skies as she wants to be a pilot.
