It was a Saturday morning; my friend and I went on a trip to the north of Sri Lanka by a fast-moving train. By afternoon we were in Jaffna. We took our lunch at a hotel in Jaffna. We needed to go to Delft Island to explore the country. We decided to rent a car.
We went to the Point Pedro. My friend and I had never gone there before. We were checked by Navy officers. We were sent to a small ship called Vada Tharakai. Then, we were asked to put on the safety jacket. The ship started to move. My friend and I were scared because it was our first ship journey. After half an hour we reached Delft Island. We took our bags and went to a rest-house.
After we got there, I got to know that my uncle was the owner of that rest-house. We both met my uncle while having dinner.
My uncle said that he will arrange a car for both of us to look around Delft Island. Then we went to our room, washed and slept. We woke up the next morning.
We had our breakfast at the rest-house.
The car which my uncle had arranged was waiting outside the rest-house.
We started our journey on Delft Island. The driver showed us the historic places of the island and explained the history to us.
After that, our driver showed us a well which has no water. We went to see the well. My friend and I took some photos.
When I tried to put my head into the well my legs slipped and I was falling into the well. While I am falling, I shouted as much as I could.
My mother woke me and asked “what happened?” Then I realissd that I was dreaming about an adventurous trip..
