Trees are integral for the existence of human beings on earth because the ecosystem cannot function without trees. They balance the environment and give us precious resources such as timber, medicine, shelter, raw materials and much more. Trees are the natural shelter for animals too.
Humans have given importance to trees and history records that trees have been worshipped and given cultural significance.
Trees adorn parks and gardens helping us enjoy fresh air. Trees provide shade, which is extremely important in the summer months. The presence of trees in residential areas increase the value of such areas.
Trees which are hundreds of years old serve as wonderful attractions or as popular historical landmarks. Hence, the well being of trees are very crucial to the ecosystem. Without them the land would become barren and useless.
