The Covid-19 pandemic

14 November, 2021

Covid-19 is a global disease or pandemic as it has spread all over the world. It has been in Sri Lanka since 2020. It started in 2019 in Wuhan, China. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for this disease.

Fever, coughs, and colds are symptoms of this virus. There are vaccines against it but, they aren’t 100 percent effective.

To eliminate this pandemic we must follow the health guidelines. We must wear a face mask whenever we go out. Maintaining at least two metres distance from each other is vital and large gatherings such as weddings, funerals, sporting events should be avoided as well as close contact with people who are sick. Touching the eyes, nose and mouth should be minimal.. When sneezing or c coughing cover the nose and mouth. Clean frequently

touched objects and surfaces, wash hands regularly with soap and any antiseptic liquids. These are some health guidelines we must follow. A very important thing is for us to maintain our immunity in this situation. So eat a healthy and balanced diet to maintain immunity.

It is unfortunate that the schools were closed and children’s education was hilt stifled.

There is online education but, it’s not a good method for the children. It is bad for eye-sight and the brain. It tends tp decrease children’s memory and creativity ability and increase screen addiction and video games addiction. defensively is preferable condign. I wish for a future a world free of Covid-19.
