The Sri Lanka Shakespeare Association's drama troupe and award of certificates to 55 students was launched at the Sudarshi Hall, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo under the patronage of Education Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris, Ven. Elle Gunawansa Thera Ex-provincial Councillor Hector Bethmage, Yashish Tennekoon, Dr. Nilanka Liyanage and Gamini de Silva.
The premiere of the drama, Hansa Geethaya (The Tempest) was also held.
