The victory of the National Congress (NC) is assured at the forthcoming parliamentary election and party supporters and youth should be partners of this victory, NC leader, former Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister A.L.M. Athaullah said.
He was addressing the Youth Convention of the National Congress at Addalaichenai on Wednesday.
Addalaichenai PS Member and NC Youth Organiser A.L. Ajmal presided.
Chief guest Athaullah said the co-existence of the communities is important to develop Sri Lanka. The youth should be guided in the proper way. All communities in the Ampara district should be careful not to be deceived by the fantasy talk of politicians to divide and rule.
Athaullah was also felicitated for his services to society with a golden shawl.
Digamadulla electoral district NC candidates, high ranking NC officials and a large number of youth were present.
