The 23rd Madam Kiyoko Ogawa Scholarship awarding ceremony will be held at Daraniyagala on September 17. Hampers including essential items will also be distributed among students for their livelihood at the ceremony.
Madam Kiyoko Ogawa Scholarship Fund was launched in 1999 and JASTECA was appointed to execute the program.
The first Madam Kiyoko Ogawa Scholarship program commenced in 2000.
The program has granted 557 scholarships so far.
The main objective of the program is to award scholarships for most deserving students of underprivileged families living in remote areas.
The students who performed well at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination are granted scholarships to pursue their studies up to the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.
