A book each written by the Vice Principal R.D.C.S. Ranawaka, and a teacher and 48 books by students of Central College, Piliyandala were launched at the school, at a ceremony organised by Principal D.P. Udawattege and staff on Library Day.
The Chief Guest was ITN Director Hasantha Hettiarachchi and Special Guests were Education Ministry Director P. Thenabadu, National Library, Documentation Board Director General W. Sunil, Senior Journalist, Mihira Newspaper Harshani Gamage and several other guests were present. Here are some highlights of the event.
