My country is Sri Lanka. It is an Island in the Indian Ocean. It is known as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean.” Sri Lanka has a tropical climate. The highest mountain is Piduruthalagala. The longest river is the Mahaweli. There are beautiful waterfalls in my country. The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte. Sri Lanka is an agricultural country. Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers live in my country peacefully. Sri Lankans are very friendly and hospitable. I am proud of my country.
