My village is Aluthgama. It is a village in the Kalutara district. There are about 500 families in my village. This is an agricultural area. Most of the villagers are farmers. They grow paddy, fruits and vegetables. They take their products to the village fair. There is a big paddy field in my village.
There is a hospital, shops and banks, a sub post-office and a historical temple in my village. There are several government offices. Most of the workers in these offices are teachers and nurses. There is a Sanasa Society in my village. The villagers are friendly. Our village has a rubber jungle. I love my village very much.
