I am a kite

Do you know my birthday? It’s in the first week of August.

I am made out of bamboo sticks and berava shape wrapped in white with a red and green dotted body. With ears in red and a long tail like a saree, all in colourful tissue paper.

Since August is a windy month, people take me out and fly me high in the sky. When I go up with the wind, I see many buildings, houses, rivers and beaches. People take me to the beach and playgrounds to fly. Mostly after the season is over sometimes, I’m kept till next year or destroyed. But this year, people are very kind to me so they will keep me. I am a very lucky kite and I am very happy.
