Sri Lanka is my country. It is a small and a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. It is called the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte is the administrative capital and Colombo is the commercial capital. The climate in our country is hot and wet. It is an agricultural country with many resources. There are mountains, rivers, waterfalls and forests. The longest river is the Mahaweli and the highest mountain is Piduruthalaga. Singharaja is the largest forest in Sri Lanka.Many races such as Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers live in Sri Lanka. Buddhism is the main religion in our country. There are other religions too. They are Christianity, Hinduism and Islam.
