Poson is a religious festival. It is held on the Full Moon Poya day in June. Buddhism was brought to our country by Arahat Mahinda Thera on Poson Poya Day.Buddhists go to temple and worship and some observer sil. People decorate the houses with lanterns and light oil lamps. Some organise dansals. It is a very important day for all Buddhists.
