Our country is Sri Lanka. It is called the Pearl of the Indian Ocean and the Granary of the East. Arabs called it the Taprobane. Our country is in the Indian Ocean. The capital is Sri Jayewardanepura, Kotte. The national tree is Na and the flower is Blue Water Lily. There are nine provinces and twenty-five districts. The central hills are the cooler places where tea is grown. Sri Lanka is a tropical country and we export, tea, rubber, coconuts, pepper, cinnamon and spices. We also export garments and gems too. There are many rivers and mountains in the country. May our country develop day by day.
