The second Janapavura program, an effort to eradicate child abuse and provide a safe environment for children, by the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA), will be held tomorrow in Anuradhapura.
The NCPA, in a media release, said the main focus of the Janapauvra program is to get active members of the society and organisations in every village involved in the identification of child abuse, to take immediate remedial measures. The Janapauvra program will be held simultaneously in all 22 Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Anuradhapura district providing guidance and training on child abuse prevention for participants.
The first Janapavura program was held in the Kurunegala district. The programs will be held in all other districts in the future, the release said.
