Vesak is a religious festival. It is celebrated by Buddhists all over the world. It signifies the birth of Prince Siddhartha, the enlightenment and the parinibbana of the Buddha. It is held on the full moon Poya Day in month of May. We make Vesak lanterns and light oil lamps. Buddhists observe sil. We go to the temple. It is a public holiday.
